23 Dec Charity Drives: PMAA Year End Report Part 3
2014 was a very busy year for special events at Performance Martial Arts Academy. PMAA hosted 6 charity drives this year and had tremendous support. We believe as martial artists and leaders in the community, that we should do everything we can to uplift our friends and neighbors. Huge thank you to all of our members for their generosity, and to all the other grapplers that made trips from places as far away as Washington, and Klamath Falls, to join us. As always, all of our events are open to all schools, affiliations, and grapplers. The martial arts community stepped up big time, and nearly every Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy in Oregon had representatives at one, or more, of our events. THANK YOU!
Charity Drives:
Grapple-A-Thon 3 (Benefiting Womenspace, a local non-profit specializing in helping victims of domestic abuse.)
Free-Trial Food Drive (Benefiting Food for Lane County and UCAN)
Takedowns for a Cause (Benefiting the family of two boys taken too soon)
Open Mat Food Drive ( Benefiting UCAN)
Grapple-A-Thon 4 (Benefiting The Oregon Humane Society)
Toy Drive Super Seminar (Benefiting Toys for Tots)
All told, through these events we were able to raise over 1,000 lbs of food, a U-Haul full of toys, and over $6,000 !!
Stay tuned in early 2015 as we will have our 5th installment of our Grapple-A-Thon for a great cause.
